Halloween is barely over, but according to all the shops, it’s time to begin the holiday season! At Prospect, we want you to not only enjoy your new home, but to see all that Austin has to offer you. Because of this, we’ll be posting area events so you can experience Austin to the fullest!

1. 36th Annual Christmas at the Caswell House

Come visit the historic Daniel H. Caswell House; decorated by the Austin Junior Forum. This year’s theme, Winter Wonderland, promises to be the best yet. Feel that Christmas spirit while you sample gourmet foods and shop for unique Christmas gifts including hand-crafted jewelry, clothing, and more.

2. 12 Bars of Christmas Bar Crawl


When: Dec. 1; 12pm-8pm
Get your Santa and your drink on with this special pub crawl – the largest group of Santas you’ve ever seen. With your ticket, you’ll receive a Santa hat, a Christmas cup to take along with you to every bar we hit, and a wristband guaranteeing drink and food specials at every location. Join us for this one-of-a-kind holiday event!

3. Salvation Army’s Rock the Red Kettle Concert & Golf Tournament

Rock with the Salvation Army to kick off Red Kettle season in style with a special concert hosted by Cory Morrow; joined by a group of close friends. Food and fun await you! If you’re a musician, sign up to hop onstage. Then, participate in the celebrity golf tournament; hosted by Joe Ogilvie!

4. Gourmet Thanksgiving at Driskill Grill

5. Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade

Bring an unwrapped toy along, and enjoy a parade of floats, inflatable characters, music, and more! The parade benefits Blue Santa; ensuring that every child in Austin has a gift to open this holiday season.

6. ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot

The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot offers a 5 mile run, 1 mile walk, and a Kids K. Participate and benefit Caritas of Austin – an Austin non-profit dedicated to battling and ending homelessness in Austin.

7. Joyeux Noël: A Holiday Affair

The Junior League is hosting a four-day holiday market combining vintage holiday celebration and French flair! Find that perfect holiday gift with over 300 vendors ready with gorgeous, unique wares.

8. Trail of Lights Fun Run

Wear your best holiday costume, and be among the first to experience this year’s Trail of Lights. Join us at the finish line for the annual Finish Line Festival, where you can snap a selfie with Santa, eat some healthy foods, and join us for a dance party.

9. 24 Diner
