Prospect Real Estate agent, Christy Neikirk, took a trip down Manor Road with her corgi, Barclay. Check out their fun-in-the-sun adventure in one of Austin's fastest-growing neighborhoods!
Barclay was itching to get out and experience what makes Austin great! So, of course, he insisted we head to one of Austin's most iconic streets, Manor Road.
The first stop we made was Alamo Pocket Park where Barclay sunbathed on his red blanket, had a major case of the zoomies, and sniffed to his heart’s content.
Alamo Pocket Park has community events, a covered basketball court and an enclosed area for fur babies to run around.
After chasing all those birds at the park, Barclay requested we must get some watermelon agua fresca from El Chilito to cool down.
After that, Barclay decided it was time to get lunch as his tummy was rumbly. Thankfully, the walkability of Manor Road is a dream. He enjoyed being able to stay safe on the sidewalk, away from the scary vroom-vrooms on the road as we made our
way to Haymaker for a sandwich.
Barclay was full from lunch, but we still had to stop by Amy’s Ice Cream for a yummy scoop of Mexican vanilla for dessert. Barclay ate his ice cream so fast he had a brain freeze!
All this yummy food had Barclay wanting to take a nap so we decided to head over to Thunderbird Coffee to get some much-needed caffeine. Barclay thought his human didn’t give him nearly enough chai...
Even though the Humans kept telling Barclay that School House Pub didn't open for a few more hours, he insisted we wait because they have the best atmosphere and drinks in town.
We hope you enjoyed #BarclaysBigDay!
